Re: Deblet needs sound

Try Twinkle, it's the best app available in armel Linux for VoIP, unless you can get CounterPath to compile an armel binary of X-lite for you. . .

Anyway, thanks to everyone here for the sound...

Re: Fedora 8 now available for Nokia tablets!

Yes. I've tried. This thread goes way back to the beginning of the year when I first gave it a shot. I guess I brought it back fro the dead ;) Since I'm more familiar with RPM stuff, and the armel...

Re: What woud you realistically like to see in the N900?

OK. I'll bite on this thread. Hopefully Nokia listens. . .

Let's be realistic here. No pie in the sky kind of stuff.

1) OMAP 35xx Applications Processor with OpenGL support.

2) Two standard...

Re: Fedora 8 now available for Nokia tablets!

Well Slack is fine and all, but does Slackware, or Maemo for that matter, have a tablet compatible repository with 9500 tablet compatible packages?

Fedora does!!

It's been a long time now since...

Re: DTMF dialing of Internet Call doesn't work after call is initiated

Here is another possible workaround for the DTMF problem:

Install Twinkle (http://www.twinklephone.com/) under Debian, or recompile it for Maemo. I tried DTMF with Twinkle in Debian and it works...

Re: DTMF dialing of Internet Call doesn't work after call is initiated

Thanks to brontide for calling Dell.
Dell support has determined the cause of the DTMF issue.

Anyway, I finally have a firm understanding, at least, of the reason for the DTMF issue....

Re: DTMF dialing of Internet Call doesn't work after call is initiated

Ok brontide, I believe you now. . .

Calling 18002341490 ( Dell support ) actually works!!!

Calling 1-888-NOKIA-2U (1-888-665-4228) works too. . .

Probably Microsoft also works. . . ...

Re: DTMF dialing of Internet Call doesn't work after call is initiated

Oh wow!

You're also using OS008 not 2007? Like I said, it worked fine in 2007. To tell you the truth I would be rather skeptical that it would work for you in OS2008, when many others...

Re: DTMF dialing of Internet Call doesn't work after call is initiated

I have never used GrandCentral. I had never even heard of it until I tried to look up the problem in Maemo bugzilla before reporting a new bug.

You are using Gizmo for your DTMF. I imagine it does...

Re: DTMF dialing of Internet Call doesn't work after call is initiated

This is a bug in OS2008. It has been around since the beginning of OS2008 and has never been fixed even after almost one year. DTMF worked fine in OS2007.

It was initially reported as bug number...

Now all we need is a Maemo Timidity server...

Re: How to (really) brick a tablet - How to recover?

Re: N800 won't power on

I'm wondering what OS you are running. Is it OS 2008 or 2007? I just got a replacement for my dead N800 and it is identical to my old one, with OS 2007. I've had no problems. . .

I have a better...

Re: How to (really) brick a tablet - How to recover?

Even though the tablet is bricked I can...
