Re: Youyota Tablet Contact

the problem is though - there's no confidence the fair amount of money 's spent to the project goals rather then personal interests.
Eg pics of lcds - these could be lcds for this project, or for...

Re: Youyota Tablet Contact

I agree in general however 7" is something I can actually find some use for. I have old samsung GT-P6800 which I still can find some use for at certain occasions. So 7" device to me is an exception....

Re: Youyota Tablet Contact

The reason I personally did not back it was due to obscure funding campaign. The low initial target suggests project has all in hands (factory, blueprints, parts even perhaps) and needed campaign...

Re: [Live] Youyota 2-in-1 Tablet

I tend to disagree with you but life is better judge and you have hands-on experience with it while I'm only theorising. So I take your word for it.

Re: [Live] Youyota 2-in-1 Tablet

This statement is ungrounded. Sailfish is not open system, you cannot build it end-to-end (libhybris based). So it _may_ still spy on you without your knowledge. That's what librem targets to...

Re: [Live] Youyota 2-in-1 Tablet

Yes, i was hoping for that too. Even backed (or rather pre-ordered) a Librem 5. However Librem 11 is a no-go, they've replanned it to be Librem12 and even that is nowhere around - they refuse to...

Re: [Live] Youyota 2-in-1 Tablet

That thread just confirms the obvious - Jolla cannot guarantee proper work of the image even on identical SoC (eg. X Compact or X DS).
And this is exactly the reason of the interest in YT -...

Re: [Live] Youyota 2-in-1 Tablet

Now that is wrong. It's not crowdfunding of the person (Michael or Chen or whomever). It's crowdfunding of the tablet. If the money aren't spent to the production of the tablet - they MUST be...

Re: [Live] Youyota 2-in-1 Tablet

yes but
1) there was a claim about certain improvements in this model
2) I'd accept jolla tablet as a sample only if I produced them myself and know all the strong and weak sides of it

so to me...

Re: [Live] Youyota 2-in-1 Tablet

I still don't quite understand how is it possible to order a batch of 1000+ devices without prototype sample. What if entire batch will be flawed?

Re: [Live] Youyota 2-in-1 Tablet

not only that, they're also checking conformance with power profile - eg. app should not contain heavy loops running in background. Wouldn't ack it if it drains battery while inactive.

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

Connected my new PTS and discovered that a) SendText app is not working (not showing at all) b) Weather app does not recognise pushed data (even though forecast pins are properly laid out) *sigh*....

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

We can easily repoint rockpool to any other appstore, even to spin off our own. The problem of course is development lifecycle. Also our group is tiny part of the whole pebble community, so better to...

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

I was going to quit due to pebble refusing to RMA my blown PTR. But in the end I just bought another PTS so will try to finish what I have on my todo.

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

I've actually mentioned it several posts above (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1516743#post1516802) but yes, that's the only ugly way so far to deal with it. Also no good news for 2.0.5 -...

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

btw if you rotate screen - it renders the page. looks like some missing invalidate/redraw event chain.

Yes, I have the same behaviour. Will look into that. Logs indicate proper initialization but render fails to show anything.

Re: [Announce] Rockpool - Pebble daemon for Sailfish

This is not custom package, rather from core. This is odd. Can you do following commands on your phone? The lib is apparently in the deps and if rpm is getting installed it means dependency is...
