Re: installation problem in os 2008

Not really. It's a temporary solution for a server side problem. Quite sad that they haven't been able to solve it before christmas. Imagine getting a N8xx for christmas and all the frustrations of...

Re: New onscreen keyboard

I also think it could speed up the device on some pages. When the keyboard pops up the device use quite alot of of time to re-adjust the page to the now smaller window.
Having a transparent page...

Re: Ogg-Vorbis support?

I also believe that the stock vorbis library makes use of alot of floating point operations which is harder to do for the ARM types. I think I saw an eariler effort to make an ARM version of the...

Re: Gizmo - SIP-client?

Gizmo may solve the SIP thing sorta, but brings up a whole lot of other issues (especially privacy issues). IMO it shouldn't be counted in as a SIP solution for the N800.

Re: Can N800 play the stream with mms://xxxx?

Mplayer should be able to play mms:// (just tested). But it seems that the frontend KMplayer have some issues with playing it.

Re: Adobe Media Player on the way...

Well, I don't think I would mind that much to use iTunes, problem is just that Apple doesn't allow me to (no Linux version).

To be fair alot of the Linux media players actually does this aswell....

Re: mount usb hard drive on 770 (host mode?)

NTFS RW is supported through the ntfs-3g FUSE driver. I would hardly call it a hack anymore. Basically the N800 would only need the FUSE core and NTFS read write could come from a recompile of the...

Re: Happy days. Skype and a new F/W version coming soon.

Yes, but the SIP still have to go through gizmo's network which makes internal asterisk's rather useless (or less usefull). Ekiga for instance can connect directly to the SIP phone/service.

For me...

Re: Happy days. Skype and a new F/W version coming soon.

I just wish they would make a SIP client availible. Gizmo doesn't really cut it since it still needs to go through the Gizmo network.

Re-install OS from scratch?

To be honest I've been experimenting a bit with my N800 and the OS and it's become a bit sluggish.

So I'm wondering whether it's possible to re-install the N800 to factory defaults.
