Either D-Iivil's suggestion or you tune the custom transition.ini to make it blur and/or darken the background upon launcher or menu activities. Quite easy, ask if you don't figure it out yourself.

Well I'm no expert on repository management and deb-files, but obviously packages can be marked as viewable or not. I interpret it like that: there are "support packages" which no user needs...

No' fapman is not a requirement. But if you want to see *ALL* packages, do this (wont help your problem though):
Tap Install Applicatons -> tap C -> scroll all the way down, select All packages...

Don't go by what the Hildon Application Manager oder Faster Application Manager shows you. The repos (I have default ones plus testing and devel) are filled with ~6500 packages of which only roughly...

Enabeling it gives me an immediate reboot. As does loading the starving configuration. Since the saveings are very very minimal - we are talking of minutes - loading a slightly higher rated profile...
