Just remove them from desktop, especially the ones that are not coming with the official release of Maemo (the stock ones usually do not have a problem, but i had no time to investigate that...

Ok here is an idea (not an iOS or Android anyway):
An app for adding a background sound (or a sound effect) while in a call, so the other party hears that background sound/effect + the callers...

Yeah i know how hard it is to work on a code done by others.... but it is not impossible....
Otherwise we end up with five "map" applications for N900 and none of them really doing its job...

this used to be a very common bug pre PR1.2
So if you have not updated your system, do so.
I get this bug sometimes on PR1.2 too, and usually it is because of some buggy widget.

Yeah @gerbick you are right about the 'there's a whole slew of "holes" '... the problem is that N900 needs a kinda specific coding for covering those "holes"... 'cause as you know the *nix support...

Probably right after you plug in your N900, a look at dmesg's last few lines and the syslog will give you a clue why it is not recognized properly and why its partitions are not recognized.
