Re: [Giveaway] Intex Aqua Fish (ended)

I no longer know what we're talking about, but you guys definitely sounded like you wanted to stick to 3 years old Firefox and you were against "new web standards". I don't know if you have actually...

Re: [Giveaway] Intex Aqua Fish (ended)

What if the newer version of the browser engine had some optimizations and fixes? (probably has) What if new APIs not only let you do things you couldn't before, but saved both your time as a...

Re: [Giveaway] Intex Aqua Fish (ended)

I don't know how suddenly cool things like CSS Grid, Fetch, WebRTC, Service Workers, Web Assembly or WebGL threaten your privacy nor directly lead to badly managing memory, but ok. It's not like...

Re: [Giveaway] Intex Aqua Fish (ended)

8 year old tablet is not a fair competition, is it? I can dig out my old Windows 98 machine and try loading some websites on Internet Explorer 6. This wouldn't tell me anything else than - well, IE6...

Re: [Giveaway] Intex Aqua Fish (ended)

Just go to TJC and take a quick glance at the first page. At this very moment, I see 3 posts regarding Sailfish Browser:

Sure, one of these is an aggregate thread...

Re: [Giveaway] Intex Aqua Fish (ended)

Just my 2 cents - web changes way too much too often for ancient version of Gecko to cut it. Browser itself is great, but there is really no point in denying that its underlying engine needs some...

Re: Sailfish OS on Sony Xperia X Compact (community build)

Go to about:config and change layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to a desired value. This setting is overwritten every time you open Sailfish Browser with defaults though.

Re: MWC2018 news

I wonder why they mentioned BLE, support for that is rather decent already, apart from Android not being able to use it. I mean, I tried my old code yesterday and it worked.

Re: Uploading pictures from Sailfish.

Sounds like you might want to write a plugin for nemo TransferEngine.

Re: Sunrise and Sunset on lock screen

There should be a website where you can generate an ICS file, or maybe a handy script you could run on your phone in terminal?

Making a patch seems like a possible answer too, since the equation...

Re: Swipe down--what are these things?

Well, I like ambiances as an idea, but to be fair, there is almost no point in switching them at the moment. I suppose I'm a special case since my phone is almost always on silent anyway. As a long...

Re: 2.1.3.x / Kymijoki (unofficial)

Are there any notable changes in this release? The only thing I noticed is scaling being completely wrong on AquaFish/Jolla C and a new ambiance.

Re: 2.1.1/Jämsänjoki EA

In a post on TJC that was somehow visible to everyone (despite of being marked as "only for CBeta"), 2.1.2.2 was mentioned, but as you said, it wasn't available.

Cached version:...

Re: 2.1.1/Jämsänjoki EA

Not sure, but CBeta is already testing 2.1.2 (bug on TJC outed that one) so I'd expect they'd rather push this out to EA and then finalize it, instead of backporting fixes and releasing another...

Re: Jolla C not properly assembled?!

I use AirGlass as well, it doesn't cover the bezel around the screen though. Good to know I'm not the only one who has this problem. I mean, it's not good, but at least it's not just my unit. Camera...

Re: Jolla C not properly assembled?!

Digging up an old thread, I know, but it seemed more appropriate than creating a new one.

How are your Jollas and AquaFish phones holding up? I got my AquaFish just 4 months ago and I'm really...
