4.0.4 is out already is it not? There are Roms for the GNex available.


Edit: It seems the 4.0.4 roms are based on the LTE release with a GMS compatibility layer so may not be much use to us.

One reboot should be enough. Make sure you have the keyboard open though or multiboot will load the last kernel and rootfs used.

Sorry for the late reply.

mmcblk0p2 is your 2gig opt partition. I've never filled it so am not sure if it can cause issues booting.

You are best off re-partitioning MyDocs if you feel confident...

EDIT: is the charger connected when you are booting? There used to be some issues with multiboot where it wouldn't boot correctly when charging. It should have been fixed but it's worth disconnecting...

It looks like either the multiboot menu item is incorrect or the kernel is not in the correct place (/root/multiboot (IIRC)). If you can still get into NITDroid, you may be able to check this with...

When into APN settings, use the lock switch to open the menu, you will then be able to add your APN settings.

You'll probably need a google search to find the correct settings for your network and...

yeah, as panjgoori said above N14 is not stable and nor is it likely to be in the near future. Stick with N12 (although you can try the updated 2.3.7 version) as it's most stable.

Disable sim lock in Maemo and try booting NITDroid again. If that fails, I'd try mounting your NITDroid partition to /and and untarring the archive again.

Its ammyt that is working on this not me.

At the moment I know nothing about Uboot. I installed it the other day but my one attempt to get it to boot NITdroid failed and I have had no time to look...

2.3.4 is most stable. I'd recommend mounting your NITDroid partition to /and and untaring 2.3.4 over the top.

If NITDroid is installed, download a kernel from Here (http://downloads.nitdroid.com/e-yes/). If you intend to use ICS then you need RC7, otherwise you can use RC4.

Once you have that downloaded...

If you have the deb for kernel-power-bootimg then you can just depackage it and it will create the multiboot item and put the kernel in the correct place.

If not, re-install this package.

I see you have a reply to that thread. That should add the multiboot menu item needed to boot power-kernel so you can use all the features.

Are you using ICS? If so, that will be why you have problems with WiFi.

APN settings can be added by using the lock switch as stated a few posts ago.

USB notification is probably because USB debugging is on (it can be turned off in developer options but I'm not sure if it's needed).

I don't think you can connect to your PC yet, NITDroid is...

Just received an email from dropbox. Apparently the link for the NITDroid files has been generating too much traffic so it has been deactivated!!! Anyone know of a decent place to host them?

Nope, maemo.org is still going fine.

Only the NITDroid server is down at the moment as it is moving to another server. Oh, and megaupload, but that has been closed due to all the copyright...

For all those having issues running the auto installer, you have to remember that it downloads the files from the NITDroid server which is currently being moved. Therefore the installer is not going...
