Re: Any chance of this making it to the 770?

Cool. Thanks the nitdroid team! I followed the guide and now it's on my 770 with 128MB swap on. A few questions though, how stable is it? Mine seems to crash regularly (maybe it's the cheap MMC)....

Re: Help please. WIFI Not seeing APs

We are all in the same boat. There is a bug in the Wifi driver of 770 that will not find any AP if there's a 802.11n AP in the proximity. It doesn't seem anybody, including Nokia, is interested in...

Re: Nokia 770 "No Connections Available"

I know what you talk about, but when the source of bad signals is so close, it's difficult to shield the bad signals from the good. My wife is a baker and I have tried every mixing bowls we have, and...

Re: Nokia 770 "No Connections Available"

Shielding is not a solution I can do reliably, since the n router is very close to my place so the signal is very strong.

I have given up and use bluetooth pan for internet. That's not perfect as...

Re: 770 wifi problems

Is this related?
https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1459

I just wonder whether we can transplant the "fixed" osso-wlan-security to OS2007HE or OS2008HE.

Re: Nokia 770 "No Connections Available"

The problem I have is my neighbour's new router. Whenever it's on (now it's 24/7) I can't find any network. I suspect it's also the new 802.11n router. I have no choice but wait for somebody to nail...

Re: 770 wifi problems

Not related to my problem, since I've been using the fixed version.

Re: 770 wifi problems

I have similar problem appearing ever since one of my neighbours brought a new wifi router. When that router is off everything returns to normal. It's annoying since I can't find ways to shield my...

Re: Android On N8XX

I hope it is ported to 770 too. Really want to see how well is Android running on limited hardware.

Re: more than 64mb virtual memory?

The largest of the build-in swap file is 64MB. I'm not sure whether you can use a larger swap file for this kernel, but you can always increase the swap by having more than one swap file.

You can...

Re: New OS2007 HE for the Nokia 770 with Mozilla engine and memory corruption bugfix

Finally getting it to work. I think microb uses more memory, and it appears to be slower than opera. I flashed with fanoush's kernel image to increase speed of the mmc, switched on 64MB swap,...

Re: Is there such a thing as a micro SD to RS-MMC adapter?

I wonder modifying a small MicroSD to SD adapter would work. Surfing the net I come across a cheap adapter like this:

Re: OS2007 Hacker edition 4.2007.36 available

The first thing I installed after gaining root of the newly flashed 2007he is microb. No, the microb for 770 refuses to install, and the microb for N800 installs successfully but it screws up the...

Re: Micro-B for 770

The flash plugin should be a standard NPAPI plugin, so unless the implemntation of the API extremely buggy, Opera 8.5 should work well with any version. That said, I suspect the instability...

Re: Micro-B for 770

Some problems I hope it would be fixed in the future:
1. Failure to autoconnect to the network and that annoying network error
2. Using mozilla engine is slow for AJAX. It took much longer to load...

Re: Micro-B for 770

I backuped my old flash plugin some where else, then unpacked the flash package in this thread (at the / ). It automatically replaces the opera plugin, and switching to opera engine will have flash9...

Re: Micro-B for 770

The default setting seems to disable disk cache. I can enable it in prefs.js, but where is the cache directory? It would be better to keep the cache files on mmc.

Re: Micro-B for 770

The original browser plugins (before installing flash9) are in /usr/lib/browser/plugins/

The Mozilla plugin directory is /home/user/.mozilla/plugins/

You don't need to copy the flash player...

Re: Help! Cannot wake up N770 from sleep

Re: Help! Cannot wake up N770 from sleep

Thanks everyone. Will exchange for another one. Sigh... no ITB for a couple of weeks. Besides that problem I love everything it can do just after three days' usage.

Re: Help! Cannot wake up N770 from sleep

Thanks. Yes, removing battery also resets it and I can power it on afterwards. The "problem" won't go away even after the battery trick, so the next time it sits idling and screen goes off, I have to...

Help! Cannot wake up N770 from sleep

I just got my N770. From what I read on the internet, if it's left idle or if the slide cover is on, the device would enter the suspend/deep sleep mode, and pressing any button or touch screen would...
