You can configure enable notifications in modest preferences.

Then, n900 will notify about new mail in the same way as it notifies about new sms or chat messages.

However, I had to disable that...

I just successfully repartitioned internal memory card. Now I have two extra partitions, 5G and 3G, there.

Process was smooth, no reflashing or other unpleasant things.

Hmm. Yes it is. Perhaps it's too late so I'm starting to be dumb.

But anyway even 21:00 is hard for me. I have a window between 22 and 24 when I'm more or less available, other time is problematic.
