Pfffft.
Well, I was one of the first to have the N900. had it ordered weeks before it was released. I waited and waited- had trouble with the 1st one and got it replaced.
And now my 18mth contract...

I have searched on this but cant find a definate answer. is it actually possible to use the device as a remote yet or not? and obviously if so, then how?

ha ha not on your nelly. i wouldn't swap my N900 for anything. Sending my N95 to Mazuma next week...buuuut I need voice nav argghh. after all the probs i had with my first one I can now say Im in awe...

same here. never had a seperate sat nav when i had my N95 but i find GPS unusable without voice nav.

most of the time mine reads 3.5G but interchanges between that and 3. what is 3.5 and is it contributing to my short battery life? currently charging once a day.

Don't worry, they will take you seriously. this has been too common a problem with their earlier devices for them not to. Also, it was probably about a week and a half between mine freezing and me...

Thankfully, yes- and so far it's working like a dream (my number doesn't port over til tomorrow) and the longer i play with this thing, the more i'm falling absolutely in love with it.

it works! it works! Not a single reboot in 6 hours and the mic works.
Wow this is amazing. 30 minutes and I'd bluetoothed all my contact and calendar over and set up 4 email accounts. Wonderful.
