Woops, I forgot to mention that the only desktop applet I had was OmWeather and I disabled it for troubleshooting. As for tray apps, I haven't changed anything recently so unless something got broken...

I don't know what format the track files are in, but this program has an option to output to CSV, among many others: BT747 (http://bt747.wiki.sourceforge.net/).

Uses Java. Hope it helps.
