Expanding screen?

Hello all,
Two years on from purchasing my N900 it is still alive which is quite frankly amazing given the overclocking carried out on it. However, the metal casing around my slidescreen module...

Re: [NEW UPDATE FOR BATTERY PATCH] [ANNOUNCE] Speed Patch + Battery Patch + Tweaks ----> Every Thing You Need To Have Perfect N900

How the hell do people manage to brick the N900? After over a year of being on almost 24/7 (seven restarts ever) at 1.2GHz and with the very hefty low voltage table settings underneath these patches,...

Re: [Announce] bleeding-edge wl1251 wifi driver for Maemo Fremantle

You can stick with v46. I've got the drivers patched and X shows my kernel to be version 2.6.10power46-wl1.

No, installation is essentially automated through Debian package manager, requiring...

Re: Searching for Aircrack Howto!

Well WEP is a joke, taking approximately 5 minutes to crack any key!
As mentioned WPA is just not possible to crack unless the passphrase is a dictionary word.

This is when you turn to more...

Re: [announce] aircrack-ng: latest, svn, full set of tools.

Or you can use Airbase, far easier for WEP keys.

Re: [announce] aircrack-ng: latest, svn, full set of tools.

On my own network, yes! I didn't even have to do anything out of the ordinary like deliberately disconnect then reconnect a client whilst monitoring the network.

Re: N900 will not start..

Reflash the kernel first, and then the FIASCO image if you have customised the kernel.

Re: N900 will not start..

Canttila are you using Enhanced kernel? Reflash probably is best advice as it's an easy fix almost deinitely.

Re: [announce] aircrack-ng: latest, svn, full set of tools.

The aircrack-ng suite is available from the Maemo extras-devel repository and if I remember correctly installs fine through Application Manager, inclusive of dependencies on PR1.3. Patch your kernel...

PERL Modules

I have been playing around with the base PERL build, and have installed the perls-module package using MCPAN -e SHELL.

All seems good for what there is, but does anybody know or have any ideas how...

Re: N900 stops ringing after about 5 seconds

Yeah the answerphone feature is built in, however the connection time will be down to your network, 3G takes a little longer to connect through, etc.

Re: How To: Nintendo 64 Emu for N900 <Now in Extras-Devel>

I can confirm that altorn is a massive virgin. Hawhaw.

Default install and customconfig although I am using the power37 kernel @ 1.2GHz with default DSP rates, would a bad ROM cause this?

Re: Help! Bought fake N900!

Are you sure it's fake? The hardware looks authentic. Try flashing PR1.2 onto it? Best scenario is it's been loaded with a Chinese OS.

Re: Cannot Send Texts

http://getsettings.o2.co.uk/ServeSettingsWebApp/

See if these settings help, sounds like a wrong service centre number in your settings, possibly retained (unhelpfully) by the N900.

Re: Putting an Oyster card inside your N900.

The Oyster cards use RFID technology, so the scanning antenna (the place where cards are swiped) actually provides power to the RFID chip: radio waves are induced through the red wire antenna to...

Re: Maemo 5 PR1.2 released: OTA in UK - May 25, flasher - May 25, OTA & NSU worldwide - May 26

Yes, I flashed it myself. File integrity is complete, device health is excellent, it is exactly as PR1.2 was intended: poor.

The media player is faulty and launches after any phone call is missed,...
