I think the big deal is that the entry point was way too expensive before. Now with the $199 price and everything coming...

You can purchase an iphone. You just can't use it without signing up for a contract and activating it or unlocking it.

It all boils down to it not just being about the iphone but about the whole software ecosystem around it.

It's amazing to me that other companies don't realize that it's about the user experience...
