Actually no. Flasher says emmc flash was ok. But the whole point of the -R at the end of command is that the device should restart completely and mine does not, which tells me something is not quite...

Thanks for the tips. However I've been trying to flash my emmc (after rootfs) and the point is it just won't finish booting up.
I have tried your explanation, removing the battery etc,...

Thanks for help all. Tried disassembling it and putting screen back in place but it still does not work. Will see if I can get a new screen on ebay or have someone else do the work.

Had the same problem. Turns out when you connect N900 to computer in Mass Storage it connects both SD card and Phone. Disconnect the SD card and then run Map Loader. It'll only read the N900, where...
