Thanks! I found one entry in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list that had fremantle in it; don't know how it got there. I removed that, and Media box starts up now, but it won't...

That's very odd; I haven't added any repositories in a long time, and there are none that look like a Fremantle one. What is Mediabox actually looking at to determine if it's on an N900?

That's because you've typed "dpkg -l flipclock" rather than "dpkg -L flipclock". It has to be an upper case 'L'.

From what I've read, Mer is dead; Meego, I don't know, too early to say. I'd certainly like something that prolongs the life of the n8x0, since the n900 is not the replacement I want for them.
