Re: Ereader and shut down on Garnet VM

Found the way! Ctrl-backspace, kill the ereader window with the X button, and then bring up the Garnet VM window and do Garnet VM menu -> Close. This evidently allows it to flush and save properly....

Re: Ereader and shut down on Garnet VM

On mine, Ctrl-back in the daughter window puts me in the multitasking area (whatever it's called), and and then allows me to close the window using the X button, which, unfortunately, seems to be the...

Re: N900: The First Impressions Thread

Enjoying the phone, but I may not stick with it. I'm very excited by the possibilities, but I'm thinking over and over again either:

1. I wish this thing was more like my old iPhone/Android phone...

Re: Commercial ebook reader

Garnet VM works pretty darn well with eReader books; I just followed the instructions here:

http://www.palminfocenter.com/news/6668/garnet-vm-working-on-the-nokia-n900/

However, the ONE book I...

Re: Any way to access the mobile google apps?

Hmm, erm, did you actually try any of those? On the phone? The first one is just wrong, no such URL; the second takes you to the search page (but doesn't give you a link to Reader); the last one...

Any way to access the mobile google apps?

Frankly, viewing the normal Google apps hurts my eyes on the N900. Does anyone know of a way to access the mobile versions of the apps?

Re: syntax error

Sorry, can't help you with compiled programs, but I usually got this error when scripting when I'd accidentally save a script with Windows linefeeds instead of UNIX.

Re: New members say hello !

Hi, Hugh Caley here, from Albany, California, USA. I'm a Linux system administrator so a Linux-based phone/tablet that actually runs Linux binaries seems like a great idea to me!

It seems like...

Re: The Nexus One vs. N900 My 1st hand accounts from both

fatalsaint: still, the OP seemed to say the N1 didn't multitask. Hard to say that up to 6 isn't "multi"

Re: iPhone Quality Apps for N900?

I"m more excited about the future ... on the one hand, any Linux app is potentially a Maemo app ... on the other hand, there won't be much commercial development on a platform that only runs on one...

Re: The Nexus One vs. N900 My 1st hand accounts from both

Who says the N1 doesn't multitask? That's one of the selling points of Android over iPhone ...

FYI, my G1 multitasks just fine.

Commercial ebook reader

Looking forward to my just ordered Nokia N900. It looks like I can find ways to do everything I want to do on it (versus my T-Mobile G1 and older iPhone) except ... read commercial ebooks. The G1...
