I bought a couple of mini>micro adapters off ebay and they wouldn't work at all with my n900. So then I just bought a couple of nokia-branded replacement cables and they worked fine...

From what I understand it is possible, but you need a way to power the keyboard, as the 770's usb port doesn't send out any power. You can use a powered usb hub or a usb power injector to power usb...
