thanks durazell. it doesn't work, there's no "all users" folder in windows 7.
it's ok, PFhawk pointed me to the correct tutorial for win7. i've been running PR1.2 since.

mine has the same problem too. after removing Twitter widget & a reboot, it's back to normal now, don't feel any heat at the back anymore. not sure if that's the cause, but it works for me.

nope, the folder isn't there. the folder structure you mentioned is of XP, win7's folder structure is different & there's no such folder in the Nokia folder.

i think the problem is that, people has provided him with answer, but he has not been satisfied with that. he was just asking for a genuine email of Nokia Care, i think the email i quoted already...

it makes sense to deploy there first because N900 has no chinese IME native support out of box, without PR1.2, very less people will buy it, that was one of the reason of its marketting failure in...
