Its more a proof-of-concept then a stable library.

Whats the advantage of Threema in comparison with clean XMPP?
It's the same sort of "sucure app" like Whatsapp: closed source and centralized.

No one really wants to use such communication channels ;)

I have done the port from the signal ubuntu app to sfos. This was also written in go. Works really good. But know OpenWhisperSystems starts blocking third party clients. Really bad for all the work I have invested. Now I am working on a good xmpp client for sfos. I will never again put time into proprietary protocols.
