[Question] Poppy Red and White TOH ringtones
 

Ahoy sailors,

since I have read a lot about problems about ringtones not working with TOH lately a question came up for me.

Are "The first one" and "snow-white" TOHs supposed to be unique regarding its ringtones (like Keira Black & Aloe) or is it just right that both install/use the exact same tones?
Because I can hear and see no difference (under System -> Sounds and feedback) when checking them. Both use the default jolla ringtone for example or at least that's the one that's always displayed under Sounds and feedback.

I believe that although the ringtones for the Snow White and Poppy Red other halves do have thier own sounds, there is currently an issue with selecting the sounds, I have the same issue.
The only way I am aware of to get the tones working (happy to be corrected) is to copy the tones using you pc and put they in your music dir then you can select them as an avaialble sound.

Does snow white really have its own ringtone?

Don't have one and I've assumed that it didn't even have one.

The Snow White-ringtone is the "default" Jolla-tune and The First One-ringtone is a different sounding tune where someone laughs in the beginning and then someone says "Jolla is a movement"...
At least on my phone. No ringtone modifications done.

No, snow-white doesn't have a sounds folder under '/usr/share/ambience/ambience-snow-white' and uses Jolla's default tune.

Not yet, but Keira is on it's way ;)

Btw. I've found the poppy red ringtones in
'/usr/share/ambience/ambience-the-first-one/sounds'
but I still cannot select them under system -> Sounds and feedback nor are they listed there. :confused:

just copy past it

Terminal:
cp /usr/share/ambience/ambience-the-first-one/sounds/*.mp3 /home/nemo/Music/

than you can choose it to ;)

Sure, but isn't it supposed to be working without copying the files manually?

i think it is a known issue being worked on, similar to the sim card being removed error
