I don't know if I'm on the same page as you are with the problem, but I'm getting all sorts of dependency problems after I re-flashed. Like half of my apps can't find their dependencies.

u flashed rootfs or rootfs+eMMC

Re-flashed both, twice. And made sure the repos were set right.

Ive tried to reinstall the kernel and its modules via xterm and it didnt work. I'm closer to a relashing the whole phone.
