N810 screen on my computer screen

Is it possible to see the N810 screen on your computer screen. I have searched the forums and I can't find anything on it. I would like to see my n810 screen on my computer kinda like a reverse remote desktop or I could physically connect the two together.

Anyone have any ideas on if this is possible and if so how it can be done.

Thanks
Eric

So I would run the VNC server on my NIT and a VNC viewer on my desktop? Sorry for the simple questions.

sorry just a quick follow up. Do they both have to be on the same network in order to for the vnc to work?

No.

Expanding slightly: No, but it is easier if they're on the same network.
If you're on a separate network you'll possibly need to do some port-forwarding.

Ok I went to this site

http://mike.saunby.googlepages.com/x11vncfornokia7702

and followed the installation instructions but i don't know what this means.

HOW TO INSTALL

Save the file _armel.deb to memory card. Then using Application Installer in Control panel install the package. To install on the N800 or N810 'red pill' mode is required.

What is red pill? I installed x11vnc and it shows up in my Extras folder but when I click on it absolutely nothing happens. Anyone care to help?

Never mind I just found out what it means here

http://wiki.maemo.org/Red_Pill_mode

and it says that red pill mode will most likely break your NIT. Oh well I will keep on looking for something that works.

ummm, you don't need redpill....

Works fine without it.

You click x11vnc, and it turns on. You can then access it with your computer. Click it again and it turns off.
