Are you sure you only get 2hrs from your Nokia bl 5j because I can get like 6 to 10 really... and 800mAh? I thought it was 1200mAh

You haven't read what i wrote or what this thread is about.
On the original batt i get a minimum of 4 hours. But my videos are high encoded to the point that it just plays them without lags.
And im using custom brightness level 3, which sets the brightness to 160 which is between 4 and 5 without custom brightness, this means more power usage then normal level 4.

Sorry about that. I play vdieos in like .mp4 format brightness level 1 with no lags and I get those amount of hours.

Btw a request would be to check a Nokia BL-4S which is half the original Nokia BL-5J and claimed to hold 860mAh

Oh I've been trying to find some manufacturer specs on charge rates. I known 1C is fine for rc LiPos.. Some 18650 have 0.7C as max.. and N900/bme uses 950mA.. which is about 0.7C for BL-5J.
The hardware itself is capable of charging at 1250, so either they picked 950 because that's the maximum achievable with 2mm charging system, and there's alot of wtf-ish emulating of 2mm system ontop of this proper charger inside N900... Or, it was picked because it's 0.7C and max for battery..

And what about connecting two BL-4S into a 1720 battery? It almost fits, it was said to be half BL-5J.

Just did some checking and as far as i can see the BL-4S is not half the size of BL-5J only about 25% smaller.

The 2mm connector limits will be explored when i get some better battery's. as of now im charging with 1A and there is no problems or heat.

Charge rate really swings all over the place, some can have as little as 0.3C and some can have 3C
Some power battery's that will probably not be used in a phone have about 12C.

By "2mm system" I mean the whole combination of powersupply, battery and battery charger, and the relatively peculiar methods and charge algorithms used in all Nokia products with 2mm charge port. Nokia even published a pdf documenting parts of it. I wasn't talking about the connector or your connector as such..
