boo :) would love it to be debian based for selfish reasons :).

Reason behind Fedora selection was simple - it is using similar package names as Mer and we can use RPM SPEC packaging scripts.

In principle, you can rebase it to Debian as well. Even better, the both can be supported. All what is needed is someone writing all packaging scripts for debian as well as ensuring that it all works on Suse OBS.
