This information is now out of date as using this software my Xperia X (direct unlock of all Sony Xperia models manufactured after 30/06/14) on Sim locked o2 F5121 showing Bootloader unlock = NO magically changed to Bootloader Unlock = YES after network unlocking:

Please note at time of this addition that currently this technique will not work upon Xperia 10ii (with which co-incidentally there are also problems using network SIM unlock codes). Screenshot of failure attached.
