Swipe Manager app, is the "swipe up to close" locked?

Dear guys,
do you have any idea on how to contact a developer of particular app in the Store?
One thing, which I immediately noticed upon the PR1.2 update was that setting swipes thru Swipe Manager app is no longer fully supported..I especially emphasize a need of the SWIPE UP TO CLOSE option as probably a lot of people here would agree with me, since swiping down as the only option to close anything may get really tricky sometimes...instead of closing it, you often hit the status bar, which is simply no good...
that's why I would definitely contact the developer of this app in order to update it, I'm just unable to find any option for this in the Store..
strange is, that every other swipe setting in the app works, only swiping up to close seems nonresponsive...

I got the same issue . More luck for me because I use swipe left to close and it works fine

@jleholeho
Developer e-mail is: ahf@0x90.dk I am having the same issue as you, I think that swiping up is way more natural and easy due to position of device in hand and size of human palm.
I already sent an e-mail, but please all that want this changed - do the same.

yep. that's right, it works..
but I've always been used to close anything by swiping up, as it's pretty much the most natural way when you're holding the phone in one hand..
I even installed the 003 version of SM from N9fans.com (there's only previous version in the Store at the moment) and still, everything works except for the swiping up to close...

So I tried this app for the 1st time the other day....
All I wanted to change was swipe up to close & swipe down for away (or whatever the term is), but it did nothing.
Has anyone been able to get this app to work reliably this way?
Or perhaps there's a manual hack/tweak to get the same effect?

(sadly I don't have my N9 for about mth to try any manual hacks, as I've loaned it to someone)

Ah Swipe Manager; if I remember correctly, it doesn't work well on pr1.3 and I don't think the developer has updated the app any further...

So far there has been no manual tweak to achieve this behaviour; the problem with such a swipe manager or even a manual tweak is if i'm not wrong the issue with the overlaying. For example, by default swipe right to left is to minimize the app to bring you back to where you last were but if you set it to take you to the events view every time you can see there is a noticeable lag.

The lag is due to the system intending to take you back but the swipe manager interrupting it to bring you to the events view instead...If i'm not wrong further, the app doesn't actually override system defaults but creates another set of rules on top of the default hence the issue...

Edit: IIRC this app was in fact taken down from the Store too though not really certain about this, I can't find it but maybe someone else can.
Your best bet for gestures would be MyMoves though I don't think it can allow you to swipe up to close...

Yeah just reading a few more enlightening threads now to refresh my mem:

Google search of talk.maemo.org....

Seems to have not really worked properly, even since PR1.2...
I don't really care about changing the default left & right swiping behavior.
All I want to change is swipe up & down default behavior (want to swap them).
Sigh... >.> O_o ...Oh well....

It's still there, Nokia Store search just blows....
Yeah MyMoves is a very different beast, but I'm well overdue for a proper tinker with it, when I get my phone back.

I think it's removed beyond pr1.2

I remember that blog post, it worked well at that point, issues only started to creep in since PR1.2.
From what I've read so far it's not completely broken, but the things I want to tweak most, don't work :(

The most recent thread on the topic has these two posts at the end:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...10#post1297610
I vaguely recall discussion from many moons ago around that config. file.
Has anyone tried tinkering with it to get swipe up to close working* or is it not as simple as that?

*& swipe down to assume swipe up's original behavior
