Why lynx doesn't come with https support?

Quote:

Alert!: This client does not contain support for HTTPS URLs.
why is that? and can i just install an additional package to get https support or it isn't avaiable at all unless i copile stuff myself?

Compile it yourself and turn on the SSL flag.

He asked a question and gave 2 possible answers, looking to know which one was the right.

I told him which one was right. His other option is to contact the package maintainer and ask for an update; http://maemo.org/profile/view/thopiekar/

Of course, I could send my patched source to autobuilder to solve his problem - which I am currently doing. So...what are you doing to help the OP out?

The real question is what is the OP doing to help him or her self out after receiving the correct answer?
