A week has passed since last post and preceding explanations and responding posts...
Annnnndddd....no word on the issue involved. I will assume one of three possible things has occurred . A- the individual has not had time to install solydmo properly yet... or B- the individual has given up ...temporarily or permanently.. or C- the individual has met with success. whichever A,B, or C .. at this time...there are other pressing projects and needs to be done than waiting for responding posts and updates on said individuals issue ...or actively monitoring this thread. |

I assure you nothing could be further from the truth. I am but a simple man who feels it behooves me to help my fellow wonderers on this most illuminating discussion venue. With that said, I hope you are open-minded about the recipe I'm about to unveil which I believe will solve the problem you've been struggling for, courageously might I add, longer than could reasonably be demanded of any individual. This is the recipe in all it's simplicity: On this, or any other post on this topic, see in the upper part of the post "Thread tools". Click this and a submenu will unveil itself. In this submenu you will see an item labeled "Subscribe to this thread". Now this is the real magic that will allow you to gain - nay, more than gain - what you were looking for. Within this page you can instruct this place of discussion to dispatch an e-mail _immediately_ to you when someone utters but one simple sentence. Thus removing the need of manually observing this topic. But yet you _are_ still observing this topic. Like magic. This has been a lifesaver for me. I hope it will be for you too. |

I use the option to automatically subscribe to any thread I post in [1], and use my subscribed threads page as my bookmark [2]. I don't like getting emails as it's more work for me, but there's an option there to receive emails too.

I am aware of the subscribe to thread option.
However closure...even temporary... of an open and perhaps abandoned issue ... As well...my penchant for personally being fixated on puzzles until their solution and resolution .. I did and do appreciate your thoughtfulness of your posts though ...my fellows... :) |

I haven't used transmission in years but in theory it should be possible if the file is exact match. Other option would be to create a new torrent.
If you copy and paste the magnet link into transmission or any other client or will start to download from scratch. Exit the app and COPY your version of the iso into the location your bittorrent app is trying to save to. Don't move you copy, if could get damaged in the next step. Reopen the app and get it to recheck. It will analyse the file you just copied over and if exact match will allow you to start seeding. Sometimes though it doesn't work, and you end up with a 99.9% ish complete and it will attempt to redownload that part. Hence why I said make sure to COPY. |
