N900 USB Ethernet features
Hi!
I'm trying to find out more about the N900 USB Ethernet features and what exactly I'm looking for is a similar feature to what is found on SonyEricsson-devices, what I believe to be called USB Ethernet Emulation. Basically the device provides a usb-ethernet device to the host and routes traffic in/out via 3G. Does the N900 have this also? |

Yes, exactly.

Re: N900 USB Ethernet features
There has been unofficial (rumoured) confirmation of tether support. However, with the N8X0s there are these wiki pages:
http://wiki.maemo.org/USB_networking http://wiki.maemo.org/USB_to_ethernet_networking http://wiki.maemo.org/Networking_(Diablo) I'd be surprised if it works out of the box, but I'm sure the community will get right on it if not. (And yes I realize those wiki pages describe the opposite of what you ask, but creating a connection is the difficult part, afterwards traffic can be reversed relatively easily) Also http://ffejery.wordpress.com/2009/08...-wlan-adapter/ |
