Quick question...
I want to try it out on Nemo Mobile. What repo should I add to zypper? I am using image from 2014-02, with Wayland. Would CameraPlus run on it?

It will not work under nemo. It needs to be ported.

cameraplus for harmattan will work on nemomobile running on N9 after some recompiation, not jolla version.

harmattan is Qt 4.x with QtQuick 1.x while nemo is Qt 5.x with QtQuick 2.x

Nemo does not have a GStreamer sink for rendering.

It imply needs to be ported.

@MSameer: If you can find the time, could you please update the package in OpenRepos so that it works on Uitukka and Vaarainjärvi (i.e. Qt 5.2 support, commit 4f33d5e)? I think most Jolla users have updated their phones by now, and the current version in OpenRepos crashes on startup.

I uploaded the same package to OpenRepos. I really apologize but I am extremely busy pushing forward the GStreamer 1.x support for Sailfish OS and cannot afford to do stuff for this app :(

nooo. I have tested many cameras for android and sailfish on jolla. the best quality photos i take with "a better camera" - they claim they do whatever they can to improve the quality at the moment of taking the picture. Next one, a little bit worse application is "instagram". It can take good quality photos.

Other cameras are far behind them, including "focal" and many others.

I need to say, that Cameraplus is much better than stock camera application in terms of resulting file quality. Not as good as "a better camera", it's far behind, but it's much better than stock app. That's why I would like it to work. (: It does not since the latest os upgrade.
