Almost forgot about it, but the installation issue with MediaInfo for the tablet is now fixed on OpenRepos.

Haha, awesome! For Talefish, it should still be pretty useful for files not supported by taglib. Thanks!

Hi folks,
originally I planned to go to sleep a while ago, but made the mistake of reading emails just before that – one happened to be a bug report I couldn't ignore, soooo: There's a fresh bugfix release 0.1-2 on openrepos!

Change log:
* Thu Jan 10 2019 velox 0.1-2
- bugfix: prevent taglib crash when starting with missing file

Cheers & good night!

Re: [WIP] Talefish, directory based audiobook player

Hi there,
I've just put version 0.1-3 on openrepos!
The new feature is a bit of slumber interaction: If slumber is installed, you can choose to automatically start it with Talefish. You can also restrict times when you want that to happen.
Together with the new MPRIS playback detection in slumber, this may benefit your "work" flow if you use both applications regularly.

As usual: Please let me know if you encounter any bugs.

TL;DR:
* Mon Jan 14 2019 velox 0.1-3
- new options: automatically start slumber sleep timer

cheers!

Hi folks!
Version 0.1-4 is now out on openrepos.
It is mainly for translation updates, but also reduces stuttering after loading new tracks.

* Mon Feb 18 2019 0.1-4
- bugfix: prevent stuttering on track change at 100% speed
- enhancement: skip to track beginning after 2s (instead of 1)
- translation updates: it, es, pl, zh, nl, nl_be
- user request: optional third cover action

cheers!

Re: [WIP] Talefish, directory based audiobook player

Hi there, it's been a while, I hope you've been doing well!

Version 0.2-1 is now out on openrepos.

The bad news:
Existing users will have to re-install this version due to a package name change. Updating to this version will not work.
Sorry, this won't happen again!

The good news:
This may be the biggest release yet. Almost everything has been touched or rewritten. Bug reports, as always, are welcome at https://github.com/jgibbon/talefish/issues – positive feedback is welcome everywhere you can reach me, of course.

* Sun Nov 17 2019 0.2-1
- Package renamed (for future harbour compatibility)
- Rewrite of most core functionality (audio/playlist handling)
- New Interface for opening files
- New Interface for options
- New Interface for "about" (better license view)
- Enhanced main player interface
- Enhanced playlist interface; added search
- Support for opening files from other applications (via mimer)
- Support for opening files/folders via command line
- Enhanced album cover handling
- Enhanced slumber sleep timer integration (new rewind option)
- Removed now obsolete options
- Removed "Enqueue" pulley menu entry (it's now a setting in directory view)
- Taglib now included in binary (for future harbour compatibility)
- A lot of translation updates (Thanks, translation team, you are awesome!)

cheers!

Re: [WIP] Talefish, directory based audiobook player

Hi folks,
version 0.2-3 is now out on openrepos (0.2-2 was an internal build only available on OBS – not every build will be released on openrepos and announced).

* Wed Nov 20 2019 0.2-3
- bugfix: allow file names with "#" character
- Directory list overlay: remove useless auto-scroll on open
- Hide playlist pulley entry with < 2 opened files
- Translation updates ES/HU (thanks!)

EDIT: After a bit more QA, I've directly pushed another release:

* Wed Nov 20 2019 0.2-4
- bugfix: cassette progress display errors with invalid files/durations
- enhancement: better check for (multiple) # characters in file names

Translation help is always appreciated!
