The answer? No.


Low end, non-Windows, non-S40 phones will probably be Meltemi. And Meltemi will be a feature phone set indistinguishable from S40 anyway...

Meltemi promises to be a lot better (from a programmer and user point of view) than Series 40 : Linux kernel + Qt (C/C++ & QML, maybe Python...), Webkit browser, swipe (à la N9).

Asha phones currently have a 1ghz arm11 processor and 128mb ram.

Meltemi is likely gonna be a maemo version with crippled multitasking, specs probably 1ghz with 256mb second half of year.

Which would directly compete with wp tango, which is kind of weird.

Problem is those devices will probadly NOT come to european/US.


They will FEED us with WP only phones..
