http://maemos.ru/2010/05/04/nokia-maemos-ru/

UPD: I completely translated this interview

1. Are there measures to combat Chinese NokLa taken?
Certainly, because a fake is harmful for the brand and for the customers as well. They can be destructive to health and the environment. Nokia have a large team of specialists in China - a major source of infringement production. Also, we are working locally in each country. One of the most important strands of work- keeping the customer informed about the potential dangers of the purchase of infringement production and that should be takento avoid being at risk group. Customers should avoid of buying equipment from unauthorized dealers. The first signal, which should make the customer think about the authenticity of the device - that the selling price is lower than than official. For our part we strongly recommend to purchase the device from Nokia authorized dealers - the only way we can guarantee the authenticity of the device.

2. What is your opinion about overclocking?
Of course, negative as it can cause damage your N900

3. Will a full-featured MeeGo version for N900 be?
We can't answer this question for now.

4. Why the strategy of great updates instead of small bugfixes was choosen for Maemo (N900)?
THis question is discussed by Maemo Community maemo.org/community/brainstorm/
You can also take part in developing and implementing this idea.

5. When will be availible an opportunity to install personal ringtone for each contact?
This idea is also being actively discussed, at talk.maemo.org. For now we have no plans on adding this feature as N900 standard functionality.

6. Will there ever be USB-host support?
Support of this feature for N900 is not planned.

7. Will there ever be Java support?
Support of this feature for N900 is not planned.

9. Will it support Adobe AIR?
Support of this feature for N900 is not planned.

9. What happened with Clubnokia, where card owners enjoyed the privilegies?
Club Nokia was transformed into a service MyNokia. The main task of it is to help users unleash the full capabilities Nokia devices and services they use.

10. When the portrait mode will be?
The idea of N900 as the project does not attend the portrait mode in all applications, because this product was created as a logical extension of our Internet tablets line. At the same time knowing that adding "phone" component, require the portrait orientation in some cases, we have added it to the main applications, where it is used. For example, Contacts, Phonebook and the browser.

11. Will the announcement of a new device take place as promised (till the end of second quarter 2010)?
As we stated at the Nokia Capital Markets Days conference, we will introduce a new MeeGo-based device in the second half of 2010.

12. Do you know about of the MeeGo-based third-party devices?
As far as I know, MeeGo-community still haven't annoynced any MeeGo version for now. Therefore, it's too early to speak about any MeeGo-based devices.

13. What else would you like to tell our readers?
The most important advantage of Maemo and MeeGo, in my opinion, and I think you will agree with me, is the openness of the OS.It is a very unusual approach to the telecom industry and we are very pleased to see that it's already gives profit - the number of applications for Maemo is constantly growing, evolving platform, and I hope the transition to MeeGo will also proceed well and MeeGo-community will be even more active. I would like to thank our readers for this activity.

Maybe something was lost in translation, but that has to be the curtest, most unfriendly Q and A session ever :(

For the life of me, I can't understand why the browser, of all places, has a portrait mode. There are literally a million other uses for portrait mode that better fit it. In fact, I prefer to use the browser in landscape so I don't have to zoom quite that often. Conversations and a portrait soft keyboard would be a more important place for portrait. Also, the music player, for fast switching of songs on the go. But the browser?

Looking at the original, there are certainly more questions and the answers are definitely longer. That I can see without knowing any Russian. ;)

Pointless. Absolutely pointless! Was this a planned Q&A or did they jump him in a dark alley some where?
