[Mer OBS] Where does tar_git come from?

Many SailfishOS/Mer OBS packages use the tar_git service. I tried finding the documentation for it, the closest thing I managed to find was: https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Bui..._SourceService

This lists tar_scm but not tar_git. Additionally, tar_git seems to support some fields tar_scm doesn't even mention about, such as dumb or debian.

What's that?
