Re: maemo.org theme

confirm! btw, some rss* files from the previous version are not fitting the desktop and had to be replaced with ones from beta-theme to be useable... It's a very nice theme, i love the orange button boarders.

Re: maemo.org theme

Yep, this happens to me too now. I even tried to remove this theme via X Terminal and by using rootsh-program. Now I can't remove rootsh nor this theme, darn it.

I can't even locate this file from /usr/share/themes/ and even downloading the older theme to replace the new one didn't work, can't install it for some reason (not as root nor via gainroot command).

So yeah, some sort of fix is needed. I'd flash my N900's firmware but I can't backup my contacts to my Mac since even 44 fw doesn't support iSync.

Re: maemo.org theme

I will get the package updated tomorrow please remember that if you are going to install stuff from extras-devel then you must be ready to flash your device. I'm working on a new way of packaging maemo-org and its not working right and I got some errors. Only devs should be using extra-devel. I will try to get a new version up and pushed to extra-testing. Please only install my themes from extras-testing

Re: maemo.org theme

There is a solution in this thread:

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...ghlight=broken

Enter rootshell
wget http://repository.maemo.org/extras-t..._1.0-3_all.deb
dpkg -i maemo-org_1.0-3_all.deb

Before upgrading you could disable the dev repo or uninstall the theme with:
dpkg -r maemo-org

Doesn't work for me. rootshell does nothing as command nor does wget. X Terminal only whines that "rootshell : not found" and "wget : not found". Same happens regardless am I as root or via gainroot doing this.

dpkg results to asking reinstallation for the theme but I still haven't been able to reinstall it.

And no, the update of this theme did not help either, same happens again as did in the post #1 (can't uninstall it).

"rootshell" isn't a command to type in the Terminal. "entering rootshell" means "become root" read: sudo gainroot if you have the package installed for root-access :-)

and for wget: don't know if it is installed factory wise... sadly I don't own a N900 ATM, but had to install it via App-Mannager under Diablo (Maemo 4 /N800)
