4200 mAh N900

Finally spent the money to build my 'in a dream' 4200 mAh custom back-cover

Unfortunately this design has revealed a serious drawback: contact with batteries - even when i can establish contact and boot, bumps to the case cover and even typing on keyboard cause power interruption. It's quite mysterious, since everything was glued-together *in* an existing n900 shell, and so fits perfectly.

More work needed.

Not bad, but why 4200 maAh? Using 3x Scud, You should be getting 4500 mAh, and, considering effect of current from every cell /3, it should give You ~4600 mAh of usable capacity under heavy load (even more under low load).

Also, does the camera lens cover work at all, or is it fixed in "open" position? And, what the hell is that "grey mass"?

how old are you?

God what a troll.

I "SHOULD BE" getting?

I don't WANT to buy SCUDS from china.

Blueberry puree in semen, of course.

Why?
Why are people just being more arrogant these days? My gosh nobody seems to stand a word.

Damn, that's cool. And really thick.
You know though, if you bought a Mugen extended back cover (they can be bought separately from Mugen), you can get a triple battery solution while not having as much of a bulge as before.

P.S. I'd totally do this project once I RepRap out a custom massive back cover.

The thickness is about 2mm less than the mugen, since i have no empty air between the cells. If you choose to orient the cells this way, be aware that they will degrade your wlan and possibly your 3G reception.

One cannot put three BL-5J cells in the Mugen. It fits a double-size battery.

I like Estel just fine - I was offended by the arrogance in his post.

Why should I spend 2x as much money on 11% more battery? Are you making fun of my financial resources? How would you feel if someone pointed at your car and said "You SHOULD go buy a Bugatti"?

You came into a happy thread and crapped all over it.

Damn. Reprapping out a cover and de-shelling the batteries it is, then.
