  4. Go to this link: http://weather.yahoo.com/
  5. Search for your location by name, not by postal code
  6. Copy the address of that webpage and paste it between the "" in the file
  7. ctrl+s on your N900's keyboard to save
  8. Copy the document entirely (ctrl+A --> ctrl+c) then insert a QBW and follow these steps:
  9. QBW settings --> advanced --> yes
  10. On the top white box (command box) paste what you've copied
  11. Scroll down to the buffer (white box with options on top) and tap on export command to buffer
  12. Tap then on import buffer to beecon
Ex: "http://uk.weather.yahoo.com/england/newcastle...."

Dock Operation:
Inside the archive there is an extra sensible_dock beecon inside Sensible_beecons.
Just create a new beecon --> advanced settings --> import file to buffer --> choose sensible_dock --> import buffer to beecon --> save & run

MANY SPECIAL THANKS TO RiD

In the settings of the flipclock dash, are you sure the remember me value is cleared?
If not please try to clear it, and be sure you set the update policies.

it would be awesome to have this as a .deb all the package ........
and it would be better if the clock was created with a qflipclock theme (in the devels ) and the weather is done with omweather .....

The root folder, /MyDocs, and it doesn't matter though, after you import it to a beecon you can delete it.
Be sure that you added the address of the webpage on yahoo that actually shows the forecast of your location.

did this... it complains about checksum mismatch :( I guess that's because of the changed weather location...

I've got it working in Maemo by the use of the best widget engine - Queen Beecon.

Sense 2.3 theme under QBW
I can't see much of a difference, can you? :)

Now enough talk,
Let's rock:
Prerequisites:
  1. Download Sensible_maemo.zip https://rapidshare.com/files/1130884...ible_maemo.zip
  2. Extract its contents (Sensible_Beecons, Sensible_Clock, sense bkground.jpg) to the root folder of your N900 (./MyDocs)
  3. Open Xterminal and execute:
    Code:

    root
    mv /home/user/MyDocs/Sensible_Clock/* /home/user/.queen_beecon_dir/

  4. Wget
    Code:

    apt-get install wget
  5. Leafpad

Clock Operation:
  1. Add a new Queen Beecon Widget on your desktop, enter its settings (tap the wrench tool icon) --> advanced --> yes --> import file to buffer
  2. In the dialogue box, go to Nokia N900 --> Sensible Beecons --> sensible_hr1
  3. Returning back to QBW settings tap on export buffer to beecon
  4. This should take you back to the desktop for a while, then back to the first settings dialogue, on the title (Queen BeeCon Widget Settings [idx] note down the id in your head or on a paper, then tap save & run
  5. Reapeat steps 1,2,3,4 for sensible_hr2, sensible_mn1, sensible_mn2
  6. After you've got all of the 4 beecons with their ids noted, insert 2 new beecons, and go to advanced, then import file to buffer, and choose sensible_tab and export it to beecon for each of these 2 new beecons, no need to note down id
  7. Carefully, add the last beecon and go to advanced, then import the file sensible_dash to buffer and export it to beecon.
  8. You'll be taken to the desktop for a few seconds, then back to the settings dialogue box.
  9. Tap on Edit Cmd, in the Command: section you will have something like that:
    Code:

    y=id34[]m=id26[]d1=id53[]d2=id23[]w=id43[]h1=id3[]h2=id4[]h3=id5[]h4=id6[]
    Erase the id next to y= m= d1= d2= w=
  10. The final code should look like:
    Code:

    y=[]m=[]d1=[]d2=[]w=[]h1=idx[]h2=idx[]h3=idx[]h4=idx[]
where x is the number of the id you noted, and [] is the weird box symbol.
  11. Tap on save, then back to settings, scroll down to Update Policies & GPS/location. Change all the (No)s to (yes)s and change @Interval to 30 sec
  12. Scroll down to the remember me value, and clear that box don't let any number in it.
  13. Finally tap save & run, and rearrange the widgets :D!
Weather Operation:
  1. Download attached YahooWeather.txt to the root folder of your N900 (./MyDocs)
  2. Open it via leafpad
    Code:

    leafpad /home/user/MyDocs/YahooWeather.txt
  3. Search for the line
    Code:

  4. Erase it (what's written between the "")
  5. Go to this link: http://weather.yahoo.com/
  6. Search for your location by name, not by postal code
  7. Copy the address of that webpage and paste it between the "" in the file
  8. ctrl+s on your N900's keyboard to save
Ex: "http://uk.weather.yahoo.com/england/newcastle...."
would turn to:
Code:

Note: By using this, you're experiencing some of my very crappy gimping, so any graphics guru (Qosmio, Switch_...) are wlecomed to enhance the .pngs.
Oh and BTW this also works seamlessly on the modified portrait hildon-desktop:

Sense 2.3 for Maemo will not be complete without it dockbar....
so in the spirit on helping this community i have a few dockbar to complete the set.....

here is a sneak pick on my device :D
http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/6...eenshot00g.png

now there two way to use it on your desktop....

1.QBW
2.merge it with your wallpaper

i prefer using QBW cause you can edit/move the dockbar anywhere on your desktop but if you prefer merging with your wallpaper then use photoshop.....

here is some sample on my dockbar collection....
