Re: System update available (3.4.0.24)

I finally did the upgrade, all's well!

I first unapplied all patches, uninstalled Patchmanager, uninstalled Aliendalvik Control.
Strangely, after the update, Storeman was gone (from the menu). I didn't investigate further, reinstalled it from an rpm file, and it's OK now.
Anybody seen this?

Just out of curiosity, could you recover it?

Im personally still unsure of updating. As I understood lock code will be mandatory in 3.4.0.24 . I personally like the option that I dont have to use one. Does anybody know a way to avoid it?

Depending upon version of Sailfish OS originally installed it certainly isn't necessary to have a lock code upon 3.4.0.24. However if you enlarge "root volumes" as in this resource https://together.jolla.com/question/...-x-on-xperias/
you do end up with device encrypted having to use "default password" during this process. It still does not require a lock code however.

@aspergerguy
I do not really get above.

When I have flashed device with 3.2.1 and increased root volume already. Why should I end up with encrypted home volume then
Could you please elaborate?

No, my problem seems to be different, I do not use apps that are known to cause the problem (Phonehook, Aliendalvik Control or apps that uses overlays).

I put the Jolla 1 in a drawer, waiting for more time to do a factory reset and reinstalling everything. Using the JollaC right now.
