Hi Venemo,

just two little issues in the about dialog:
At least in the german translation the text "Website besuchen" doesn't
fit on the button. And your name has an unprintable character.

Hi Nicolai,

First, thanks for your donation. Also thanks for reporting these bugs.
The "Website besuchen" problem belongs to Hildon-Extras, as I use the about dialog from that. I'll contact them. What is the appropriate text that you think would fit in there?
About the 'ó' character in my name, I'll try to get it shown.

Just "Website" or "Homepage".

Nicolai

Okay, I changed the translation strings. Now we would just need someone to make a new release of hildon-extras.

In the meantime, you can look at the other translation strings here:

Hello, sticky notes is one of usefull widget for me but I'd like the possibility to resize the notes. Is it possible to implement this function in a next release? Thank you

I'd love this feature as well!
Also, would it be possible to change the press(-and-hold) color for the 3 function buttons below the note area? Blue doesn't fit in my (and probably others'?) theme!

Hi,

Are you still working on this widget?

Can we have fixed size bigger widget as default, says that which will occupy the half of the screen?

Thanks.

resizable widget would be nice.

also, when clicking on the typing area itself, it would be better if the text tools appear on the side instead of the bottom part.

the best addition of feature be keeping the texts saved even when the widget is closed. That would mean keeping txts in certain folder, keeping track of whether a file is currently loaded or not, if the file is currently not loaded it should be an option to load in new instant of widget.

Venemo seems to have abandoned this great app! What a pity - and I was really looking forward to the resizing feature.

Another great community contributor leaves! They're leaving, they're abandoning ship...

Is there any app similar to this for android?

You can just go to the play store and look for one.
There are screen shots for each app and a description.

My focus has shifted to Harmattan and then I also got a new job. I rest assured that Sticky Notes is still nice, useful and bugfree on Maemo 5. :)

The app is free and open source, so anyone who wants to jump in and carry on can do so any time. :)

If you want to hear more about my new stuff, check out the links in my signature.

Venemo ;)
What do you find on Harmattan that is preventing you from joining the fun @ Android ? (hehe)

I simply dislike Android. It's slow, sluggish, and the UIs are all crappy and unintuitive.

In other words: it's indecent and not fun.

Lost data.

Hi Venemo, Hi all,

As I still find the n900 is the best alternative in the smartphones world, I still use it as my everyday phone today.
And so I use Sticky Notes every (some)day too. Perfect app!

But today I accidentally closed the widget and lost all my notes.

Reading the last 13 pages, i didn't find the answer:
Where are the notes located in the filesystem?
So i could restore/recover my notes from my filesystem backup.

By advance thank you
Eric

Found:
Thank to Venemo's fast answer, the notes are stored into
/home/user/.config/Venemo/Sticky\ Notes.conf
(I just had scrolled too fast to see the notes between the config lines...)
