Duly noted.

I'll also change the feed so that any unsuitable posts (as well as content-free ones — I'm a natural at generating them) don't enter this planet's orbit.

Great idea!

You first.

Once you start posting real posts, you'll (probably) get a lot more thumbs-up on Planet.

Unless of course you ramble a lot about soft subjects.

 :D

It's a nice maemo blog. but the white font in list of what's up is hard to see for me. Should change other color?

I wrote that text on 11/12/07, when maemo.org was the official point for Maemo developers, most Maemo related blogs were from/for developers and power users willing to dig under the hood, there were just a few sites devoted to end users like ITT or Tablet School and there was basically no regular media coverage.

Obviously the situation is totally different now. Thanks for pointing out that text. It's clearly obsolete at least since the day talk.maemo.org was born.

As commented at http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...654#post318654 I believe that the proliferation of Maemo related sites is inevitable and actually good, specially when they survive the first boom of the N900 and grow along the Maemo platform and its user and developer base.

About Maemo Talk specifically, it's good to see these founders working together and I wish them best luck. I don't know if in their place I would have done the same (as opposed to, say, improve news.maemo.org) but I perfectly understand the personal motivations, specially considering the amount of (you name it) they had to digest in the recent past. If you have been a regular in the last 12 months you know what I mean.

I'm actually happy they didn't get burnt after long discussions and are still here, excited about the next steps of Maemo and contributing to the success of this community with their best skills and intentions.

I'm also happy to see how http://maemo.org/news (and not only Planet) are becoming more and more relevant aggregating any interesting source of Maemo news and allowing the community to filter and promote, helping newcomers, the media and occasional visitors getting a selection of the very best of Maemo today.

Absolutely. The fact that my articles now receive more thumbs up than down tell me that the readership is increasingly open to more than hardware explorations and software development. That is good in general!

I've been adding content at Maemo Talk all-throughout the day. When you get the time, do visit and let me know how you like them (bad, good, too short, etc). Thanks.
