if you want to have a clean device without any software installed and broken codes and if you don't have any important data on the device then go a head :D it's for the best. And once you done it, one advise is to stay away from Extra-Dev unless you're know what you are doing else it will make your device unstable. |

i have the same problem when I flash with pr1.1 firmware. i always get the same %m. Most probably the problem is your computer OS (win XP) can't read the long file name. My windows vista 32 bit is doing the same thing. When i check the firmware's filename in the directory where I stored it, the wasn't there even on the cmd. Shorten (rename) the filename. Rename the filename RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8.003_PR_COMBINED_003_ARM.bin to OS3.bin if you can't find the filename download it again and before saving it change the name to OS3.bin OR pretend to download the file to the same dir. where you stored the previous file before you start the download it will show you the files in the directory and you should see the previous downloaded file. You can just right click and rename the file to OS3.bin (or whatever short name you want to). On cmd type: D:\Program Files\maemo\flasher-3.5>Flasher-3.5.exe -F OS3.bin -f -R You should be able to flash now. next time you update, shorten the name. It's easier rather than typing the long name. You can rename the next update to OS4.bin or whatever you like as long as you shorten the name. |
