I need help to Turn OFF the screen because the battery runs out quickly.

I put this command line:

gconftool-2 -s -t
int /system/osso/dsm/display/display_blank_timeout 60

Nothing after I run this command why?

I don't have sound out too when I want to play music in mp3.
How to activate sound?
