Re: Nokia's Backup Plan

Instead of looking to Android and Windows, they should have stayed on a very focused path and grow the media, content, desktop interaction of Maemo. I've never used Nokia Suite, don't intend to...

Re: Nokia CEO Elop lays groundwork for new strategy to be announced next month, a move away from meego?

They essentially gave up all their chances to build something unique. Good luck differentiating on "imaging" then. Merging Ovi Store with MS Marketplace? I think they pissed in their pants for warmth.

Re: Nokia CEO Elop lays groundwork for new strategy to be announced next month, a move away from meego?

My collection of positive point:

-Not wasting my time on obsessing about Maemo/Meego/Nokia translates into more free time.

-I don't have to continue learning C++ now that MS development tools...

Re: A little confuised on the N900/Maemo haters... please explain.

Hm that's not the same.

Most of these 'cases' I've seen don't even bother to find out if things are 'better or worse' to bolster their knowledge at all. Ideally the good things are brought in...

Hmm, I think you missed the point of my post and you're warping reality to conform to your beliefs.

But that's ok.

Re: Nokia CEO Elop lays groundwork for new strategy to be announced next month, a move away from meego?

Yes, it is US carriers that have done a bad job regarding fragmented infrastructure. However, it is reality Nokia has to accept and adapt their actions to this reality, instead of trying to work with...

Re: Nokia CEO Elop lays groundwork for new strategy to be announced next month, a move away from meego?

The problem with US is that they always prefer to create a standard of their own and which apparently is most of the times different from the standard used by the rest of the world. Also, the Govt is...

Re: Yes, the N8x0 has a 3d accelerator, now how do we make it work?

I have heard from my TI contact and he said 'I will look in to it and will do want I can.' (assuming he means 'what' and not 'want'). That looks good :)
