This problem has existed with all the nokia maemo devices since the 770. To fix it you need to install a Ground Loop Isolator in the headphone out cable.

dpkg-query -W -f='${Installed-Size}\t${Package}\n' '*' | sort -n | tail -50
Should help identify the hog.

You could try
apt-get autoclean
and
apt-get clean
Removes all stored archives in your cache. This could free up some space.Also a reboot often helps.
