the random disconnect bug affects a lot of people. i think it has to do with me working at home, because it only happens after about 12 hours in the same spot.
i have to remember to toggle airplane...

There is also Amazfish (</plug>) which supports the Amazfit Bip using BLE on sailfish. Its a half decent watch with GPS, notifications etc at a low price.

To start the Xperia in fastboot mode (phone switched off): volume UP + plugin usb. Keep volume up...

I've had very limited experience with crypto currencies and remain unconvinced. I enabled payment by bitcoin a few years back and all I got was 'people' wanting to host awful porn or stolen software...

there is no physical different between SDXC and SDHC card, they absolutely speak the same protocol (MMC).
the only difference is a logical/marketing one :
- SDHC are <= 32 GB and are sold...

It is not supposed to recognize sdcard when sdcard contacts are covered.
I wanted to test if phone recognizes 2nd SIM card when contacts are covered, and so the phone does. However, it does not...

Both sims work with the SD physically in the tray, but with the SD connected (no tape) the second sim gets disabled. Thus the problem seems to be in software... Awaiting dmesg output to confirm.

Arrgh, I am so sorry I have to nitpick here because all of your advice was otherwice correct, but journalctl is not a more modern equivalent of dmesg!

Only some OS'es have the bloody abomination...
