Re: Meizu Pro 5 with Ubuntu coming soon?

Well Jolla supports very large SD cards, mine has a 128GB in it, you just need to format it a format like ext4 or btrfs or install exfat fuse support. I use ext4 on my card. I suspect it can...

Re: Meizu Pro 5 with Ubuntu coming soon?

Yes, you can switch to windowed mode and multi-task sensu-stricto.

BUT, there is no swap at the moment, so you might get the backgrounded process killed due to OOM management, unless you fiddle...

Re: Meizu Pro 5 with Ubuntu coming soon?

I am amazed it is 2016 and people still are surprised by this. Ubuntu Touch started as a multitasking OS, but they had hard time with optimization of the system (and still do, according to user...

Maemo can multitask for one. Maemo also has more applications for it.

Re: [Announce] Orecchiette - an all-purpose audio recording app

Hi folks! Version 0.3.7 of Orecchiette is now making its way up to extras-devel. This one just has a quick fix to a rather embarrassing cut&paste error I made in my code, causing the phone...

Re: [Announce] Orecchiette - an all-purpose audio recording app

Ack! I took a quick look through the source, and (after looking at the same line two or three times) finally noticed I'd made a little cut & paste error. The nasty thing about this error is that it...

Re: audio stopped playing from car audio after upgrade

Try to change the class to

in /etc/bluetooth/main.conf

The number stands for:
service class: capturing, object transfer, telephony
device class: phone / smart phone
and see maybe it works...

Re: audio stopped playing from car audio after upgrade

Compare on both N900 with "hciconifg --all"

class
service classes
device classes

Is there any difference?

tried to redo the pairing from scratch? perhaps if your audio system allows "reset" of stored/paired devices, i'd do that too

Re: [Announce] Orecchiette - an all-purpose audio recording app

Hmm. I have actually learned a lot about applets / widgets in the last year or so; I could probably pull it off. (I'm still nervous about creating an applet that can consume massive amounts of CPU,...

Re: [Announce] Orecchiette - an all-purpose audio recording app

@Copernicus
Thank you for the update.
Do you think that the phone calls recording function could be managed with a service or a status menu applet to avoid to keep the app always open?

Re: [Announce] Orecchiette - an all-purpose audio recording app

Ahah, thanks, that narrowed it down for me. :) I've been experimenting with different n900 sources and sinks in Orecchiette, and it looks like one of these experiments crept into the final code -- I...

Re: [Announce] Orecchiette - an all-purpose audio recording app

Re: socat/telnet connection error to n900

With "suitable address" I meant one you can actually control. You most likely cannot bind to a 3G address (which may not even be a routable address). Try with your LAN address and see if that does it.

Re: socat/telnet connection error to n900

@impeham,

AFAIK TCP-LISTEN only binds to localhost (127.0.0.1). You'd need something like:

socat - TCP-LISTEN:30,bind=192.168.2.2,crlf

Replace "192.168.2.2" with a suitable address....

Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

Hardly, thumb-compiled PA is in cssu-thumb for ages. it was glibc that was problematic

Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

This could have something with audio/video playback. But this package does *not* come from CSSU.

These two packages are part of pulseaudio CSSU package.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

Yeah, it was a while it was "agreed". Nevertheless, Pali has finished (afaik) cssu-kernel-to-be, based on KP53, so we could see some progress with that.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

You should downgrade all of the above packages. And then you can upgrade package by package to see which one is the problematic. Though your problem sounds a bit weird having that the changes in PA...
