Re: First Diablo SSU update is out (4.2008.30-2)

Alright, I do believe I have it figured out. Here's how it went down:

At some point in time between originally flashing Diablo and the update being pushed, you, through direct or indirect action,...

Re: Granule - flashcard program for maemo

From the fring thread:

#ln -s /usr/lib/libhildonmm-1.0.so.2 /usr/lib/libhildonmm-1.0.so.1

I'm back on chinook for now until more software is updated, but see if that fixes your problems.

Re: Pros and Cons: Developing in debian vs ubuntu

Debian is the official platform most developers use whereas Ubuntu is a more user-friendly Linux distribution.

Re: Pros and Cons: Developing in debian vs ubuntu

ubuntu pretty much is debian... it just comes out of the box prettier... anything u can do in one is pretty much possible in the other.

Re: N810 Tips and Tricks

FYI, I started yet another FAQ. I'm a long-time command line Linux user, so a lot of it is

Re: Ultimate linux CLI noob question: "How to create a plain text file within xterm?"

Background about paths

In order to execute a program (any program, not just python programs) from the CLI, you have to write the full path to that program. You can write an absolute path (which...

Re: Where are all the BusyBox Commands?

Indeed, iamthewalrus makes a good point: /sbin and /usr/sbin are not on user's PATH, by default.

Out of the ones you list, by default there are:

/sbin/sfdisk
/bin/mount
/bin/umount

Re: Where are all the BusyBox Commands?

You need to be root to use them. To do that install the gainroot package, or flash the tablet in R&D mode, and then type 'sudo gainroot'.

Re: PLEASE, a simple free-form database like QuickDex

If Khertan confirms that MiniVMac works well on a Tablet then maybe you can have a little portable Mac running QuickDex.

I would like to have one running HyperCard.

os2008 Screen Sensitivity Solved!

i just installed a Psyclone Essentials PSP screen protector!

[ducks]

:-)

(but yes, it helps tremendously; a slight trim along one edge and a perfect fit for the n800 screen!)

Re: BasiliskII (mac emulator) port to OS2008

I didn't really change much except the compiler used. I had to hack up the segfault handling a lot though to make it work on ARM (it was sort-of half there)

No, not yet at least.
