As for the accuracy, I'd suggest to do what I do - assuming you have WiFi in your house. Set your house as a ZapLoc and set it to auto-check-in based on WiFi. it will use the GPS position you set in...

Google switched to OAuth2, Latitude used to be on the defunct old OAuth1 model. I was on the latitude mailing list but wasn't paying attention that they were actually *shutting down* the OAuth1 route...

Hit the F key on the keyboard to toggle the clock/taskswitch/battery display. It will remember the setting.

This is a known "misfeature", in that someone requested that "if I am moving, Latitude should update more often". Well, the logic for that is a tad broken, and there is no setting for *MAXIMUM*...

Hmm, I don't know, go to xterm and delete the file /home/user/.zaploc/facebook.dat, e.g.

rm /home/user/.zaploc/facebook.dat

BTW, ZapLoc should be shown as "Zap's Location Updater for N900" in...

Well, it was supposed to work now, but isn't really well tested.

That the GPS icon doesn't turn off is normal; turning on location services in "cell tower only" mode still shows the icon.

Adding the conic library (which I use to detect which WiFi spot you are connected to, and associate a ZapLoc with a WiFi network) made this stupidly trivial to add.

P.S: I was able to reproduce it here. My problem is that I live in an area with way too good GPS reception I basically have to wrap the phone...

Have you set it in the "GPS" mode, not "GPS+Cell"? And use the latest version (build 44) .

But you may actually get what you want in next version (i.e. settable timeout). Doesn't hurt to make it a...

Other people have had the same issue w. new busybox, but it was due to a wrong "ps -e | grep" line I used (-e not a proper option in new busybox, and it was wrong anyway, was supposed to be -a)

What does this line print for you:
