Quick&Dirty solution, read out all SMS textmessages:

tracker-sparql -q "select nie:plainTextContent(?d) where {?d a nmo:SMSMessage}"

It is the .desktop file itself that I pass to Qt.openUrlExternally(), not the value of the Exec key, so for Maps it would be


Qt.openUrlExternally("/usr/share/applications/maps.desktop")

I don't use QProcess for this. I just call Qt.openUrlExternally(<path/to/desktop/file>) from QML. This is the same as using QDesktopServices::openUrl(QUrl(<path/to/desktop/file>)). I would only use...
