Re: The End is Coming: What do we do next?

I don't understand. Android is built upon the Linux kernel (with some deviations, but this might re-converge in the future). Allows a very large hardware choice and gets all the new hw goodies. Has...

Re: Youtube browser - mYTube - released

Ok, here's a deb file which should work just like the last deb file I released. It has both the modified version of youtube-dl, as well as the getpass file. As far as the options are concerned in...

Re: Introducing console-tools v1 (install-tools replacemement)

So if you boot to flash and as root run "fsck -y /dev/mmcblk0p2" what happens?

It almost sounds like the card actually died, although it shows up in your partitions list, so it must be functioning...

Re: AES-256 "zip" encryption for single files?

Isn't Openssl available for Maemo?

If it's available you should be able to do something like

encrypt:

decrypt:
openssl enc...

Re: mediaserv: on-demand video transcoding

I'm afraid my instructions have confused you. mediaserv is installed, and run, on a PC (primarily tested under Linux, but apparently can be got to work on Mac OS X and (perhaps) Windows).

You then...

Re: Seamless Software Upgrade v4.2008.36-5 is out!

It's been almost a week since the Seamless SU v4.2008.36-5 was unleashed and although there has been no word from its developers at Nokia, perhaps the unofficial Maemo gurus could help by compiling a...

Re: Seamless Software Upgrade v4.2008.36-5 is out!

I have one rule when installing SSUs: I always start an xterm after that and run an "apt-get -f install" just to be sure. If app manager can't simulate the install, at least it can check if...

Re: First Diablo SSU update is out (4.2008.30-2)

It doesn't have anything at all to do with your flash partition. initfs, kernel, bootloader and the config are all separate partitions from any rootfs partition you boot from, so when you install the...

Re: First Diablo SSU update is out (4.2008.30-2)
